Again, thanks to everyone for the likes and reblogs. Makes a gal feel appreciated.
I’m currently reading this amazing book of poetry called Louise in Love by Mary Jo Bang, and this stanza has been running around in my head since I read it on Friday:
Across the room, five fish in a tank made six meager moves,
the last through the castle that kept them
denizens of a splendid
language they spoke sotto voce.
"Then I'll educate you."
"Corrupt me, you mean."
"Sometimes they're the same, don't you think?"
"They are?"
"You learn something; you aren't innocent anymore."
